The union meeting of the second - division which met with the Reho both church Saturday and Sunday last will linger long in the minds and hearts of many as being one of the bestand most inspiring meetings we have ever experienced. A most beautiful and harmonious spirit pre vailed during the entire session. The program as arranged was well carried out. All the churches were represented but one. Delegates and visitors from the surrounding com munity and churches were numerous especially on Sunday, the house was . filled io overflowing: many could not be seated. Most of the appointed speakers were present and prepared with good speeches. Some of the best and most helpful we had ever listened to Among those that spoke on the dif ferent queries on Saturday were 'Rev. P. B. Lanham, Rev. J. T. Lit tlejohn, aiad\brethren J. 0: Atkin son, C. M.. Mellichamp, J. D. Hugh ey, C. E. Quarles and Etibanks. Sunday morning devotional exer cises were conducted by the modera tor after ^which Rev. ?P. B- Lanham and C. M. Mellichamp made good . speeehes on developing young Chris tians into active church workers and the great work of the Sunday Behool. Rev. .A. T. Jamison, though no stranger to ns, was then introduced by Rev. Littlejohn and preached an excellent and most inspiring sermon. His theme was "Brotherly Love." After the sermon a good collection was taken for the orphanage. The afternoon service consisted of speech es by Rev. A. T. Jamison on the or phanage and Rev. J. T. Littlejohn and Jamison on the laymen's mis sionary movement after which that soul stirring song, "Blest be the tie ' that binds our hearts in Christian love," was sung and the union was dismissed by Rev. P. B. Lanham to meet again with Red Hill chnrch fifth Sunday in August and Satur day before. The rains continue to come eyery few days and General Green is mak ing his appearance. in full force. Miss Wilmoth Jackson from New port, S. C., who taught in the Rock ; Hill school and other, schools , in this community, for several years and who made a host of friends, is visiting Miss Mary and Maggie Winn. Rev. J.
