The rooms of the Commercial Club have now been open for a| fortnight, and if it is conducted, throughout the coming years as.it bas been since the formal opening, the club, instead of bringing re proach upon the town as has uo-| fortunately benn the case in some places, will be an honor to the community. The rooms, which have proven to be a very pleasant rendezvous for the members, are attractive, inviting, wrll-heated, well-lighted, and very haudsome 'ly furnished. Sundry games are participated in by those who desire to while away their leipure moments in that way. About $50 worth of the leading magazines and dailies the cream of current literature have been subscribad for, which will, cause the reading room to be frequented by those who are in tellectually inclined. There need be no apprehension for the future of the club, from a moral standpoint, if the constitu tion sod by-laws are rigidly en forced.
