Unless Brother Bacon takes unto himself a wife before Friday or bon owe some other man's wife for the, occasion he will not be admitted. However, this celebrity m ed not be worried over his celibacy, for we have heard of one pretty young lady who is going to ask Brother Bacon to let her bc his wife for Friday evening. Edge field Should Have A Brick Yard. There is no doubt about the fact that a brick plant or a brick yard would pay handsomely in Edgefield, and we are pleased tb know that Mr. L. F. Simpson, that estimable citizen and splendid business man whom Greenville is lending to Edgefield tor a season, is considering the matter of es tablishing a brick-yard. Tho clay is hero, the fuel for buming the bricks is here, the labor for mak ing the bricks can be had here as cheaply as anywhere, and there is a local demand for a large quanti ty of bricks. TheD, too, they can be shipped at a piofit. If Colum bia and Greenwood can ship bricks to Edgefield, why cannot Edgefield profitably ship bricks to theae and intermediate points? All that is lacking is a mani? move in the matter, ami let us hope that Mr. Simpson will be the mau: lie has hundreds, even thou sand?, of cords of wood on his newly acquired farm that could be utilized fer fuel.
