Miss Ju lia V. Tompkins, who is teaching in Manning, will also be at home for the holiday s. Death of a Christian Woman. Mrs. Tallulah Butler Minis, wife of Cap!. E. S. Mims, died of heart disease at her home in Augusto ou Thursday morning la^tiu the 6Srd year of ber rgp. The sad intelli gence of her death was a shock to her many friends and relatives in Edgefield. Although she had pass ed the meridian of life every one '.?.ho saw her vhen she last visited Edgefield I lu ?ugb l that she would he spared yet many years to brigh ten her home and the lives of those with whom sho came in contact. Having long ago professed Chris lian i ty, her hope for eternity was built upon nothing less than Christ and His righteousness, coneequent Ivjheonly pain to her in passing through the valley of the shadow of death was the separation from the I rived ones of earth. Mrs. Mims is survived by r? devoted husband, five affectionate daughter?, Mrs. Geo. Heiutz.Mrs. Ii. W. Ttmmons, Mrs. G. H. Livingston, Misses Lu la and Kate Mims, also one sister, Mrs. Dr. Walter Nicholson, who is the only surviving member of the family. Mrs. Mims descended from an old and nromiuent Edgefield fam ily-her father being Col. William Buthr. She was born, reared and suent the grealei part of 'her life in Edgefield, but has been resid ing in Augusta a number of years, i Her remains were brought to Edgefield and laid to rest on Fri day morning. The funeral services were conducted by the pastor of the deceased, Dr. S. W. Meltou, pastor of the First Baptist church, Augusta, assisted by Rev. P. P. Blalock. May God comfort the grief-stricken hearts in this hour of bereav ment. . ?_.-o ?eek, quite different from last.
