Mr Chesley Augustus Wells, one of the prosperous and highly es teemed citizens of Edgefield coun ty, was married yesterday at the home of the bride's parents, to Miss Lilly Elizabeth Lyon, the beautiful daughter of Mr Matt Ly on, of the Horn Creek neighbor hood. Professor James F Entzminger was absent from ^he Preparatory school several days last week on accouut of illness. A lady who now resides in Ala bama,but who is viBitiug in Edge field, a few days ago remarked that she had heard much of the SCC Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, and that in her adopted state the institution had a great reputatiou.
