A BOBBER BANS Which Was Headed by Rei B. Keisler. Detectives Shackleford Wilson have just returne? South Carolina, where thej finished working a most ti some and puzzling case. It is a case which they ha' for over a month past, and have just succeeded in bring to a successful termination. It is the case of the mysterious robberies thal recently occurred near th of Georgia and South Caroli The work of the detective! the guilt of the myst bnrglaries upon a band of bu headed by Rev. John B. K who was arrested here bj Man John Abbott last week. Keisler was a p inent Baptist minister at To He was pastor of a Baptist ch there, and stood high. He wrong; yielded to the tempti to drink, and fell. His dow, was rapid and complete, became a confirmed drunkard, went rapidly to the bad. About two months ago the 1 at Toccoa was entered by a bar robbers. CHICAGO, July 27.-The slaug ter by the sun was still on in Chi age to-day fifty deaths and mo than twice as many prostratioi from heat having occurred. The record yesterday, whio surpassed anything in number o deaths and prostrations for hea that the city has known wa eclipsed by the awful work of th. ann today. A FATALITY IN WASHINGTON. WASHINGTON, July 27.^-Th< highest point reached by the sig nal service thermometer today wat 97. While this is two degees lower fhan yesterday, there has really been no appreciable change from the almost intolerable heat of the last two days. Severa cases of sunstroke, one of them fatal, are reported. About 8:30 o'clock to-night a heavy thunder storm brought a refreshing change, cooling the atmosphere very much. A DRUMMER SUCCUMBS. ROANOKE, VA., July 27.-Char les C. Poske, a well knewn Balti more drummer, died of sunstroke at the Exchange Hotel today. Poske registered at the hotel this morning and immediately went out to look after his trade. He returned about noon complaining af a pain in his head. Resolved, further, That this resolution be given to the daily papers for publication.
