DEATH, the insatiable and unconquerable King of Terrors, bas again visi.ed our land and taken from our midst a brave young heart whoso pres ence will be sadly missed in his weeping, stricken household. Death is at all times painful, but surely it becomes doubly so, when surrounded by circumstances so peculiu !j sad and. mysterious,. a? those which attended tho untimely departure of our young friend, D. W. HOLLOWAY, who breathed his last on tho 15th of May, aged 24 yoars. For some months previous to his death, DOUG seemed greatly depressed, both in mind and body, and was strangely indifferent and silent, for one usually so active and cheerful. Li.'e, with its busy cares and clashing business, lost its interest to bim, and he seemed only to be preparing for tho great change, that he alone anticipated so soon. A few days, however, before bis last illness, ho seemed moro like himself-took alive!. er intercut in things around him ; manifested a tenderer caro and love towards his wifo and little ones ; and ou Sunday, dressed himself with specia: care and attended preaching-qt Fellowship durch. From there, in company with his father, be went to Augusta, and on, his return,.just as ho reached the homo of his childhood, the Palo Messenger summoned him : and before an absont mother and loving wife could roach.him, the spirit of their loved one went back to Him who gave it. At home-and yet to die without a tender mother to watoh over>hi?\'dying b?'l and tell her boy of Sweot Heaven! To die-a;;d yet be denied a last look al the pale, sweet face of the young wife, who wonTa ha vb given her life-blood for her j Darling! To die-and yet not even a sister near to catch a lingering look from the dark eyes of an only brother, ero thoy closed forevor! Only one fond heart was near, and with his arms clasp ed tightly around that faithful father's form, the dying boy's immortal soul went Home.
