HYNENIAL. MARRD, on Tuesday evening, the 2nd inst.. atthe residence of Mrs. E. Cochran, in this Village, by Ja. A. Dozier, Esq., Mr. CHARLES LEwis CovAn and Miss MARGARET, daughter of M. Etheredge, Esq., all of this District. OBITUARY. DIED, in Delaware City, Kansas Territory, on the 2d May last, in the 26th year of her age, Mrs. MARGARET E. CLARK, wife of W. S. CLaRK, who had but a few short weeks previous accompa niel her husband in all the love of her heart, and in the bloom of womanhood and beauty, to that distant Territory, in order to settle there. On their way out Mr. Clark and family suffered severely from the excessive cold weather, and when they landed in Kansas. his wife and six'little children were attacked with the French weasels, a fearful disease, especially among the pioneers of the West, where they are for a while deprived of many of the luxuries and comforts of an older country. On the 25th April last, their infant son died, and on the 2d May, as above stated, Mrs. Czitauc de parted this life after suffering the severest agony for several days previous. But from a letter re ceived from her husband, we learn that she died happy and perfectly resigned to her fate-depend ing on God, in his mercy, to take care of her hus band and little ones. She died imploring her hus band to rear her poor children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and begging him to write to her people in beloved old Carolina and tell them of her melancholy fate-said " tell my dear old father and affectionate sisters and brothers, and friends to meet me in Heaven." And then, after bidding her husband good bye, in the most feeling manner, and begging him to love and protect her little babes, as they were, and bring them with him to meet her in the glorious world to come, she breathed her last without a struggle, and her happy spirit took its flight home to heaven. Mrs. C. was a daughter of Capt. Jos. Long of this District. With Mr. W. S. Clark we deeply sympathise, and trust that a kind Providence will console him in his severe afflictions. X. . DEPARTED this life at his residence in this Dis trict, on the 22d day of May, 1857, Mr. MARK MATnws. in the fifty-fifth year of his age, leaving to mourn their loss, a wife and seven children, two brothers and one sister; besides a large family con nexion and friends. Peace be to his memory. W. COMMERCIAL. HAMBURG, JusE 8, 1857. Co-rro.-There has been no quotable change in prices since our last communication. Receiptsnomi nal. Very little doing. For Dyspepsia, Colds and Feniale Complaints ari sing from Coldu. I F Food occasions pains in the stomach, a dose taken immediately after meals will assist diges tion and relieve the pain. In various diseases of females arising from colds or indigestions, they rare ly fail to afford great relief, owing to the warming and stimulating effect they cause in the system. They are a superior medicine for females who may have taken cold at the commencement, or during their menstrual period by wet feet or exposure in coldI or rainy weather. In such cases, a dose should be taken at bed time, and about half an hour before each meal. In a want of regularity or in periodical diseases of fe males, or in Chliorusis, they should be taken at or near the approach of the symptoms of being un well, and taken regularly if necessary during that period as dirceted for colds. If these B1TTElRS were taken bey females for colds at the commencement of being unwell, and their use continued through that period, they would save a great amount of sutiering, atnd often, the fair form from an early grave-thoughi they aire the most efleetual in bringing about the regular periods of fe mahs-in pregnancy they have no te.ndenicy to~ cause abortion, but gcnerally arc quite a sure pre ventive. In this respect the~y lhave been thorongh ly tested they aet in hairinony with the laws of lif.-; they contain in addition to Sarsaparilla, Black Snake Root, Pop~iar Bark, Golden seal, Pepper, Pricidy Ash aend Spices. Though they are nd stinmuhiting with pepper, a e'ss quantity of it in thiem hans been pnred--geeatly to impair their virtues.
