This place is also well watered, Log Creek run ning through the eastern part of it, and Beaver dam through the~western portion, with a sufficient num ber of tributaries supplying an abundance of water at all seasons of the year for stock ; and two fine springs of good freestone water adjacent -to the set tlement, ote on'each side. Much the larger portion of this tract of land is in native forest, supplied with an almost exhaustless quantity of the finest timber, consisting of pine, oak and hickory. There are ten or twelve springs of good water on the Beaver Dam portion of this tract of land. Two fine orchalds of selected fruit trees, generally young and luxuriant. This is one of the mot healthy sections of the District, and well adap ted to the culture of eotn, corn and small grain. The tract known by the name of The Bruson Tract, L3 ing on the Edgefield & Cheatam Plank Road, six miles from Edgefield C. H. This tract is unim proved, contains 380 acres, and heavily timbered with native forests. There are on the $ract 3 or 4 fine springs and a fine site for a residence. The tract known as the* Ciper Creek Tract, Contains 202 acrts, lying on the Abbeville road our miles below Liberty Hill. Also adjacent, but not. connected, the Calahanas Tract, containing 144 acres. . The above tracts of land are all well adapted to I the culture of cotton, corn and small grain.
