ARRIVAL OF THE RESH NAIL A9iA. LATER FROM EUROPE. NEW YORK, June 27.-The British and Norl American Royal Mail Steam Ship Asia, Cap E. G. GENERAL INTELLTGENCE.-The Fulton brougi the intelligence of Mr. Crampton's dismissa and of course considerable excitement was cres ted in respect to American affairs. The Londo -Times and Post were studiously offensive i their articles and demand the dismissal of Mi Dallas and the aliplication of force to the Unite States. It was not, however, generally sup posed that Mr. Dallas would be dismissed. Th citizens of Li.verpool and Manchester had issue a pence address to the people of America, an the feeling of the English was active in favo of peace. In Manchester the address receive 8000 signatures in a few hours. The Govern ment, however, seems hostile. Several ships o war had been ordered to prepare with all possi ble dispatch for foreign service, and their des tination was supposed to be the American consi All the commanders of gun boats at Port, mouth had been called to the Port Admiral's 1< receive, as it was rumored, instructions for activ service. The light sqnadron-dispatch and gui boats-were coaling and provisioning at Fal mouth. Lords Palmerston and Clarendon state: in Parliament on the 13th inst., that the Gov ernment had not decided to dismiss Mr. Dallas Lord John Russell gave notice of his intentioi to enquire into their ultimate intentions, inas much as the universal feeling of the people wa. in favor of peace. It Was asserted that the French Consul a Port au Prince had instructions to intimate tha France would not prevent the invasion of Do minica. CoaMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE.-The Liverpoo Cotton Market was dull, and had declined 1-8d The sales during the week comprised 46,00( bales, of which speculators took 8,500 and ex porters 3,000, leaving 34,500 bales of all des criptions to the trade. Fair Orleans was quote at 67.8d., and Fair Upland at 61d. On Satur day, the 14th inst., on the reception of the Fil ton's advices, Cotton was stiffer, and 15,000 balei changed hands, including 8,000 to speculators. The Liverpool Breadstuffs Market was un changed, with the exception of Corn, which ha. advanced from 6d. a is. per 480 lbs. LATER FROM KANSAS. ST. Louis, June 26.-Advices received in thi city from Kansas, report that Mr. William Guy Agent of the Shawnee and Wyandntt Indians had been murdered by the Indians. It waf reported that Governor'Shannon had resigned and that his resignation would take effect or the 1st of July. It was rumored that Mr Brown, the editor of the Herald of Freedom had been killed. It was said that Col. Sumnel had encountered a party of Missourians ani lost two men, but had drivgn the latter out ol the territory and had killed several. Col. Sumi ner, it is stated, had refused to allow a party ol forty Southerners to proceed to Westport ir order to settle on their claims at Hickory Point It was also reported that a party of 80 frorr Chicago had been deprived of their arms al Lexington. MASSACHUSETTS AGAINST SOUTH CAROLINA WAsm-NGToN, June 21. Mr. Burlingame, of Massachusetts, defende Massachusetts against general and specific char. ges, claiming that in all that constitutes truc greatness she is the first State of the Union and that her present performances are superioi to her past patriotic recollections. He wvas ser ry to find at the head of the list of her assailant. the President of the United States, who hai deliberately pe'rverted histo)ry to culogize th< South at the expense of the North, and who ha. become the chieftain of sectionazlism. Massachu. setts believed, with South Carolina~the Fugitivi Slave law unconstitutional. Mr. Keitt, of South C-arolina, here asked Mr Burlingame for his authority relative to South Carolina. Mr. Burlingamne, to prove his statement, cit ed the remarks of t6e Charleston .Mercury, -whied spoke of the fugitive slave law as an infringe mient of one of the most cherished principles o1 the Constitution. in conclusion, he referred tc Mr. Sumner's speech-to the purity and noli!e. ness of its sentiments, and to the severity of~ it: strictures against tyran'iy. lHe said Mr. Sumnel rnever had a personal enemy. His charnctei was as pure as the snowv which f-is upon hi native hills, and his heart was overflowing witi kindness for every human being bearing th upright form of a wan. lIe was an accomplish ed scholar and a chivalric gentleman. A muem ber of' the House who had takebn an oath i support the Constitution sto!e into the Senat< and smote him as Cain smotc his tbrother. Mr. Keitt.-It is false. (sensation.) Mr. Burlingame replied, he would not band' epithets. He was responsible for his ownhn guage only, and doubtless the gentleman wva responsible for Is. Mr. Keit t.-I am. Mr. Burlingame, after describing and severel2 condemning the assault upon Mr. Sumner. asked Call you that chivalry ? in what code of hono did von get authority for it! If we arc not t< have freedom of speech, what is all this govern meat worth? If we are to be called to accouni by some "gallant nephew" of some "gallain uncle" for saying something which does no suit their sensitive nerves, wve want to know i If the conflict is to be transferred from thi peaceful and intellectual field, where the hionor are equal and easy, we desire to know it. Th time may come when Massachusetts may with draw her representatives to her own bosont when safety cannot be found for them under th flag of our common country. But while tie representatives are here, they will speak ho, and when they will, uncaring for the conse quences, and itf they are pressed too long an' too far they will not shrink from defending thi honor of the commonwealth of Massachusett and the freedom of speech. Mr. Keitt now sought the floor, but it wa rawarded to Mr. Carlile, who refused to yieldi Mr. Keitt gave notice that lhe should on Moi day reply to some of the points of Mr. Burlir game's speech.
