The Busy Bee, A Paper just issued in Charleston, South Carolina, devoted to the promotion of Literature, Fine Arts, Science, and Industrial Pursuita, and particularly to the encouragement of Native Talent. To be published regularly, and embellished with Original Tales. Poems, Amusing Sketches, &a. &c.; all of which will be illustrated by cuts and designs, both beautiful and namerous. It is also to be ex tended to the other States, both South and North, and will afford a rare opportunity for Advertising. Only a small portion of the paper, however, will be devoted to Adverbsing; but those who advertise will have their notices set forth to the best advan tage. with suitable cuts and designs, on very rea sonable terms. T IE Rxeeative Committee of the State Agria cultural Society of South Carolina having se lected the.subseriber to edit their paper, a prospec tus is now issued in compliance with their instruc tions. This journal will be devoted to Agriculture, HIorticulture. Natural Scienee, Rural Taste, Archi tecture and Art, the Mechanical and Manufacturing interest, and all the pursuits pertaining to general im provemenit. It will also contain a faithful transcript of the erganitation and proceedings of the Society, Essays and communications from the best writers in the State, and a monthly summary of the spirit of the Agricultural press. All subjects devote a to the improvement of the mind, the soil, stock, and domestic comfort, will find ready admission into its oolumns, and such contributions are specially desir ed. The work will-be printed in beautiful, new and fair type, on fine white paper, with a tinted cover, and will contain thirty-two pages per month. The publication will commence on the 1st of May, 1856. There will also be published an additional advertis ing sheet as a supplement, in which a limited num ber of adlvertisements will be inserted. TeRms-$l.00 per annum. No paper sent unless the money is paid in advance. Life Members to the State Agricultural Society will receive the pa per without cost.
