Bs1aiwr n this life on the 28th of July, of uIjdro tturax, after an illness of some -si or -eight weeks, M's. M.4TtIA REBECCA; consort of Col. Jons F. .TALSElr. The decease[ wasabout twenty-seven years of a.e, and the-last ten vearsof her life a de. voted member of the Baptist hureh. Mrs. T. was an affectionate and dutiful wife, a een sistct'Christian, a fond mother, an indulgent mis tresand a kind and, eonfiding friend. Her many esti mable qualities are engraved deeply upon the hearts of all, for.shie had endeared herself to all who knew her. During herlluess sho frequently was heard - to speak of death with that calmness characteristic of aitriie.Christian. She entered the "'dark valley" in triumph, sad with smiles on her lips.. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." She has left a devoted husband, two children, and a large -circle. of near relations and friends who deeply mourn her early death : but they "sorrow not i those who have no hope," for they have the bhessed assurance that for her to die was her eternal .gait. * The storm that rends the wintry sky No inure disturbs thy sweet .repose 'Tltau siumer's evening's latest sigh That shuts the rose." BRUNSON, eldest son -of Rcv. D. 1). Brunson, in the 24th year of his age. The deceased was at the time of his death on a visit at the house of his brother-in-law, intending after a few days to leave for the mountains for the benefit of his health. Though at that period of life when it seems peculiarly desirable to live, he ex pressed himself willing to die if it was the will of his heavenly Father. His great regret was that he must part with his young wife and infant child to whom he was so tendlerly attached. He had for some time previous to his death rejoiced in the pos session of a good hope, through the saving grace of the Lord Jcsus. his last moments were remarka bly peaceful, and his death like falling into a quiet ..kep. His remains were deposited in the burying' --round of the Antiuch Churub, in the presence-of . Iis:mouining family and friend's. These " sprrow not as those who have no hope." DEPARTED this 'life, on the 14th of June last, MARY UNICY TAYLOR, daughter of Mrs. E. A. Taylor, after a short illness of three days-aged six months and fourteen days. .She was a ~'weet and lovely child, but alas, alas' with all her sweet and lovely. charms she was snatched away, and is gone to her Father in glory, for le says " Of such is the Kingdom of Ileaven." DEPAaTPD this life on the-30th of May last, Mrs. KELLAH BRYANT, wife of Hansel Bryant, and. the only daughter and child of Henry and Elizabeth Ford, after an -illness of several months. She bore her aflictions with great patience and Christian fortitude. But perfectly resigned-'to the will of' her Ileavenly Father. she gave up all for that rest that remains for tbo people of God. She was loved by all who knew her. " Jesus can make a dying bed Fe~el sort as downy pillows are - .While on hisbreast I lean my head, A nd breath muy life out sweetly there." * A Far~xn.
