The Arsenal was putchasad by T. ). Williams, at $305. The Magazine by John Taggatt, at $2M0. The purchasers reside in the village of Abbeville, and are responsible citizens. RicnARDSoN. 8ir:-I have the bonor to accompary here with -Orders No. 68' marked (A.) from the Ad. jutant and Inspector General, and ny report thereon, marked (B.), to Ex-Governor PIZRCE M. BUTLR. During the administration of the late Gover nor Noble, he authorized oe to cancil the obli gation of Taggart for the purchase or the Ma gazinm lot, and to accopt the bond of D. Doun glass. The said Douglass has recently paid we the purchaso money, with interest, amounting to 34, and I witnessed a transfer of the said lot, known as the Magazine,to John Cunningham. The bond of Wiliams l'r the purchase of the Arsenal, ha, not yet been paid, a. there is some difficulty in reprd to tide. It seems there is no record of title or tranafer of the said lot of ground to the State, and a man by the name of Charles Dendy who owns an adjoining lot, has set up a pretext of claim to the ground, to the injury and annoyance of Williams, the purcha ser. These Springs are situated 25 miles from Union Court House; 20-ny-le from Spartan hurg. 25 miles from Yotrkville. 25 siles froms Glenn Springs, and 22 fros Wilsons While Sulpher Springs, beiig the central point to thets all. The waters of the Spring are litte stonle, highly charged with carlionic acid gas, and are as lsght, pure and delightful to the taste as water can be. They possess decided medi cinal virtues, espcially in cases of dyspepsia and liver atl'ections. There are besides the limestone, too strong chalybeate springs ofeqsal efficacy in restoring strength is, case of delbility. Baths, cold anti warm and shower, shall he always ready at a r-oments notice. The locality is one of the most healthful is the world. The country around it posseses many attractions in its beautsfssl see.ery, its his torical associations, and in the tnanufactures which are springing up all around it. The bat. tie fields ofBlackstocks, Cowpens and Knip mountain are all near enoug ror a pleasant days escursion-and the prospect from Gelkin mountain takes in a large part of four districts, and embracesmany views of highly picteresque and beautiful scenery. Since the last Summer, the ro.ads leading to these Spsings have been pu' in order, and the bridges repaired and replaced. A new bridge has been built at tise Nesbit Iron Works over the Broad River, and no diflicilty now exists for travellers-a line ofstages runs twice a week front Spartanburg by these S1 rings to Lincoh ton-another twice a week from Union Court House, and a hors'e insil to Yorkville. There is always on hand a supply of busrnt lime of the best quality. OT The Carolinian, Pendleton Messenger, Aigista Chronicle, Greenville Mointastier, Edgefield Advertiser.
