POLI/ SffiffiififfiSSfiSfitfiSffiSSfi! STUPENDOUS SETS USED IN "LITTLE LORD FAUNTLEROY" Most Expensive Production Ever Made by Mary Pickford. Mary Pickford has probably never done a photoplay in which so little location worK was required as m ner current United Artists' offering, "Lit tle Lord Fauntleroy," to be featured at the Opera House Monday and Tues" day,, June 26th and 27th. With the exception of a trip to Burlingame, Cal., where the castles exteriors were taken, the entire pic ture was made in Los Angeles at the headquarters for the Pickford force. This has not meant, however, that "Little Lord Fauntleroy" is an econ omical picture. On the contrary, it is by far the most expensive cinema undertaking Little May has ever at tempted. The cost of the sets alone vn n c? infn nrnvn o +Viof oaii?i/1 liVo o J.14UO titbv itguico una u ovuuu iiac a statement of America's war debt. In addition to the largest interior set ever built, there were several exte riors that were gigantic in size and stupendous in cost Among the settings that are bound to provoke much favorable comment are the interiors of Dorincourt Castle the New York street scenes, the Dor incourt Lodge and the peasant home of Mrs. Higgins. Those who have learned to love the little Lord Fauntleroy the author pic tured, as well the atmosphere in which he lived, will view Miss Pick ford's cinematization of this wonder ful novel with a genuine delight. The faithfulness and fidelity with which she has reproduced the romantic lo cale in which the story is steeped is truly a credit to the genius of the one and only Mary.
