Washington, Jan. 23.?Enlistment of 30,000 women in the military nursing service will be required if prospective needs of the government are to be met, the American Red Cross announced recently in an appeal for volunteers. In order to meet the increasing demand of the army and navy nurse corps, the Red Cross has modified somewhat its former requirements for enrollment. The age limit has been lowered 1:0 twenty-one years and in special cases nurses over forty may be accepted. ANOTHER YOUNG UNIT. The young girl? of the Bethlehem school of which Miss Ruth McLane is the teacher, have organized a Red Cross unit. They are very enthusiastic with their work and will do a quantity of work.
