D. W. I BIG PRIZES IN AT Plan now to go witl July 4th to Wai "MEET ME C TEMPERING THE WIND. Remembering how Cooper steadily grew in fpvor in the race for Governor in the 1914 campaign, after the party entered the Piedmont, and knowing what is coming to them, the Manning politicians without giving any excuse for so doing, have in a manner reversed the itinerary of the campaign party, and this year the start will be made in the Piedmont, and the effort will be to try to give Mannig a big wind up at the end. We know of nothing else which could have prompted the executive committee to send the candidates into the low iountry in the latter part of July and August. But the plan will fail. Cooper will be elected before flhe campaign is over, and Manning will find out that he was a political accident two years ago, and that he passed out many years ago along with the late State dispensary. There is no power in his political machine and the army of politicians appointed by him to office to resurrect his political fortunes. Bad temper is sometimes merely a symptom of bad health? From advertisements in this paper it appears that complaints are being made tha tthis section is being violated in the public cemeteries of this city. We muit think that only thoughtless children would be guilty of such acts, but they should be warned from the above that they will incur serious penalties unless the acts are discontinued. Arrangements have been made to discover t ehpersons responsible for the destruction of plants ana shrubbery in these cemeteries, and if found the parties will be prosecuted as they should be. V Husband In Despair Sick All Her Life WIFE HAD CEASED EATING AND SUFFERED CONTINUALLY. HAS APPETITE NOW. t < r ? Mrs. J. H. Johnson, of No. 7, Charlottee street, Charleston, wife of J. R. Johnson, the well known engineer on the Seaboard Air Line Rail road, after having received medical advice in Virginia, North Carolina, and Tennessee at different intervals since she was fifteen years of age to the effect that she was suffering froip ulcerated stomach and gall stones, gives a vivid illustration of what Tanlac is daily accomplishing for like sufferers. She had stomach trouble all her life, was prone to fits of vomiting and was absolutley lacking in appetite. After taking only two doses of,Tanlac, she declares, shd ate the first food that she had eaten in. sixteen weeks. "I suffered from stomach trouble all my life," states Mrs. Johnson. "When I 'was- two years old I was given up by my physicians to die, and again when I was fifteen years old. I have had, according to eminent medical advice in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee, gall stones and ulcerated stomach, and they finally said an obstruction in my MtAMMA/kV Ar? AAfinrtlfitin TWA/liAnl diuuiauu. vsii tuuouibiug uicuiuai advice in Charleston, I was informed that it was impossible to state just what the trouble was. "My most distressing symptom wtls vomiting. For sixteen weeks before I took Tanlac I had been unable to retain anything on my stomach?not even medicine or raw eggs. I was told that I would haVe died for lack of nourishment if I had not been so stout. I weighed 227 pounds before I took sick, and I have really lived on superfluous flesh for bodily nourishment. My husband had given up-all hope. One evening recently I remarked how hadly and emaciated I looked. Mr. Johnson burst out crying, and said, 'Lucy, don't say that. Just think! One month ago I thought I would die. I had given up all hope, and here you are nearly well.' "It is true. I have taken a little over three bottles of Tanlac. After taking only two doses?now, don't laugh; it is a fact?after I had taken two doses I ate the first food I had eaten in sixteen weeks. I consider that wonderful indeed. I am now eating nearly everything I want, j I have no tvomited since I took my second dose of Tanlac and I am feeling much stronger. "I certainly do recommend Tanlac for what it has done for me. I had nearly given up hope, and Tanlac has done what I didn't think any medicine or physician could do. It is simply wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about it." Tanlac, the master medicine, is sold exclusively by P. B. Speed, Abbeville; J. H. Bell & Son, Due West; E. A. Fuler & Co., McCormick; Cooley & Speer, Lowndesyille. Price * ? L.u.1.
