We take it that tbe meaning of that statement le, that the News will, after May 25lb, require cash In advanoe from all Its sub crlbera. It occurs to us, as a business proposition, tbat tbe cash-In-advanoe rule cannot be enforoed, and we are Inclined to think tbat our good brother errs In making tbe 1 declaration. If tbe rule should be en forced the subscription list would possibly be so reduced as to materially Injure the p>per as an j advertising medium. And that Injury would reduce tbe amount of advertising -space whlob tbat paper might otherwise sell.
