At Home With 11 is Bride.
Mr. Arthur Calhoun, who Is so well known
and universally liked here, with bis charming
bride, Ik (-pending a few days with his
father, Mf. KJwiu Calbonn.
Ou last Friday evening they were the central
figures of a delightful reception given In
their nonor by the groom's parents.
While we must cite the reader to our city I
editors column for details, we can personally
testily as to the general effect. We bave
v never seen tastier decorations and we ha\e
never experienced heartier good cheer.
Mr. Calhoun comes of most distinguished
ancestors; and gentlemanly bearing and hospitality
have always been one of the famllj
characteristics.
Mr. Arthur Calhoun was most heartily congratulated
on all sides as the luckiest man Id
the world. With a lovely woman by bis
side, a prosperous business and friends
everywhere, the hour tfly all too last.
The happy pair will leave today for their
home In UeLdersonvllle, N. C. While their
many friends here regret that their stay Is S(
short, they hope to see them frtqu^nt ylu
old Abbeville.

Mr. Walter Vlsansfea, we know will stand

Mr. G. A. VlEan6ka of this town Is doubly

be proud of bringing up a whole lot ol good

We always rejoice with the man wbo hat

The Ki hies
Tbe Canadian Band known as the "Kilties"
played 10 a good audience last Monday after,
noon. Tbe performance was a rare musical
n treat and enjoyed by all who were fortunah

Tbe members of the band were dressed lr
Scotch Highlander style, which Is a most
ptcturefque costume.
Under the Influence of such harmony f-s

The Press and Banner believes that the

A Friend of the Carrlerti.
It gives this office pleasure to note that
amongst the able friends of K. F. D. Carriers
mentioned In the R. F. D. JS'ews printed In

We know our Congressman's good qualities

are being known by people generally, who i
are keeping an eye on the work of Congreea. I
