AO Aolrtj&l Story For Utile Folks The Adjutant Bird DM yon ever see an adjutant blrdl Weill It la a peculiar looking ibir<l that J baa been given Its name on account of Hi military Appearance. I shall tell, you a story of the adjutant bird. He felt so much like a soldier that he began to think that all the .birds: should-become soldiers and go to the bird store and release the birda.that were in captivity. Well, he paid a. visit to all of his friends and urged them to join in this scheme, but none-of them was In favor of it. "It It of do twe to try any rocn pian . &? that," they ?ald to Mm. "We "will ? [ VBUGEXiXD OJf E2B SWORD AND 8TABTBD OPJ. < j -,r' All be caught or killed. We cannot do atoy good by making any such attempt r u yon ptopoae." { He talked and talked to them, bnt they would not believe that the idea yr.m a good otoe. L,"Well, then, I know what I will do,", he Cfied boldly. "I will go alone and release all 4he birds that are kept in ca?es in the bird store and at private bOmes." So he pot on his uniform and bnckled "W ms swora ana Karreu ou, umi); that he was a rery mighty fellow- indttd. Now then Isn't very much more to my story, except this: As soon as th& btrdstore man saw him coming he got out~a big net and threw it over the jLdJntwot bird's head. Then he took off the inntfs sword and pretty uniform and put him In a cage with his other Jbjlrds. And not long after that the adijpMlppii was sold to a lady, who hung l^in^ up in her parlor 'to show her friends what a fine creature he w^s. oraL?Don't try to do too much by "ycmrseit-^Detroit Journal. j. csitt ir?v. >. ? * r. , , AO Aoinjal Story Por - JLittic vPoiHs j L .j ThisFqWenttoMarkei Yoa. have.'heard many stories pigs and probably a story about this pig, tor this is,the one that went to . ^ ? ^JElewas a funny little fellow, who was nt trm. ortA heranaa Wp IIItmI to *farr-y ?? ?
