The First Annual Abbeville County Fair and Carival will be held at Abbeville, S. C., from "Wednesay, October 16th, to Friday, October 18th, inclusive. Entries are absolutely free, and all premiums reglarly awarded will be paid in full. In order to make the occasion one of enjoyment as rell as profit in some form or other, the managelent are endeavoring to secure a number of new nd novel attractions that will both instruct and muse. Every effort will be made by the city to entertain er visitors, who are assured that they will receive cordial reception. >esignation and Duties of Officers of the Society. 1. The President will wear a red rosette. The Vice-Presidents will wear a blue rosette. The Secretary and Treasurer will wear a pink jsette. The General Superintendent will wear a red, white ad blue rosette. The superintendents of the several departments ill wear yellow rosettes. 2. The President, with the aid of the Vlee-Presients and the General Superintendent and Secreiry, will have the supervision and direction of the air, including sale of booths and privileges. 3. The General Superintendent (as aid of the resident) will have control of the grounds, mucians, &c. It will also be his duty to see that the programme i published and carried out. 4. The superintendents of departments will revive and arrange the articles in their respective apartments with reference to the best display of le same. They will attend with the Committees on awards hen going round passing upon articles in their deartments, giving the Committees all needful inforlation which they have previously obtained from shibitors. They will act as Chairman of the Committee of adges, but will have no vote or voice in the awardig of premiums. 5. After the Committees have finished their exminations and made their decisions, the superinsndents, respectively, will cause to bo made out a ear and full report of their awards and have the ommitteu to sign the same, and the superintendits will deliver said reports to the Secretary not iter than 10 A. Exhibitors must be excluded during the delibrations of the Judges. 2. If there is no competition, the Judges are not trtiged to award the premium unless there is deided merit. 3.
