Lswton l>argHU, wan solemnized 'ast Wednesday evening at the Presbyterian Church at nine o'clock. Rev. Dr. Wilson performed the impressive ceremony in the presence ofh large assemblage of relatives and friends. Mendelsohn's beautiful wedding march wtis well played by Miss Eva Pearl Klrby. The chnrch was appropriately and artistically decorated, palms were banked lu the pulpit and exquisite cut flowers added their fragrance and be&aty to the lovely picture made there during the ceremony. The brides maids were Mlsjj Plevna Seal, Miss Elizabeth Wicker, Miss Sarah Lee, Miss Kloride Calhoun, Miss Anna Wyatt, Miss ""Ho ?>arrin. Miss Willie Calhoun. Miss Mary Hubert Bays, Miss Ellse Bowie, Mies i^ouise Mcintosh, and Miss Clar^Ltvingston. The maids of honor were MtM*jVlary Walker of Atiaula, and Miss Eliza Thomson. The groomsmen were Messrs. J. Alien, Smith, Jr., Aleck Bowie, James H. Perrln, E. li. Thomson. T. G. White, James Bowie, Theodore Stone, Augustus Deal, Robert L. Dargan, ' Lewis Perrin, and Perrin Canaries. The ushers were Mr. Albert Henry, Mr. Calvert Thomson, Mr. J. Belton Lyles, and Mr. Henry Gillespie Smith. The bridesmaids wore a pretty garnature of white organdie N over taffeta, and carried boqnets of daffodils and roses. The maids of honor wore dainty gowns of pink organdie, The bride presented a sweet picture as she entered upon the arm of the groom. The bride wore a gown of soft white stlk. the effect of the whole costume being that of elegant simplicity. She carried an armful of white carnations. After the ceremony at the church a reception was given at the home of the-bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. P. Quarles, who extended to all a genuine and delightful hospitality. Mr. Dargan and bis lovely bride received the sincere congratulations of every one. Mr. and Mrs. Dargan left Wednesday night for a visit to Washington and New York. The bride is beloved by a large circle of friends, and has naturally the sweetesi and brighest disposition. Mr. Dargan is a drummer and Is universally esteemed and liked. COMING AND GOING. Mr. Augustus Deal, of Blacksburg, Mr. Theodore Stona, of Greenville, and Mr. Rob. ert L. Dargan, of Darlington, attended the Quarles-Dargan wedding last week. Tbe body was laid to rest in Long Cane Cemetery by tbe side of a devoted mother and honored father.
