A.N ELECTION will be held at the seyeral precincts established by law in Abbeville County on TUESDAY, * NOVEMBER THE Gth, NEXT, 1894, for the following officers to-wit: Governor. Lieutenant-Governor. Secretary of State. Attorney General. Comptroller General. Adjutant and Inspector General. State Treasurer. Superintendent of Education. State Senator, Five Representatives to the Lower Branch of the Legislature. School Commissioner. Supervisor. Treasurer. Probate Judge. Also, Upon the question of calling a Constitutional Convention iu pursuance of a Joint Resolution of the General As sembly, approved December iy, A. u. 1892, which Joint ^Resolution is in terms as follows, to-wit: "Section 1. Be it resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the State of South Carolina, now met an sitting in General Assembly, and by the authority of the same, That the ' question of calling a Constitutional Convention of the' people of South Carolina be submitted to the qualified electors of said State at the next general election, and if a majority of the electors qualified to vote for members of the General Assembly, voting on said question, vote in favor of such Convention, it shall be the duty of the General Assembly, at their next session, to designate the time and place and to prescribe the manner of holding said Convention. Section 2. That the question of calling said Constitutional Convention sball be submitted to said qualified electors in the following manner: Those in favor of Constitutional Convention shall deposit a ballot with the following words plainly written or printed thereon, to wit: "Constitufinnal Pnnvfintion?Yes." Those OP posed to calling said Convention shall deposit la ballot with the following words plainly written or printed thereon, to wit: "Constitutional Convention?No." ? The polls shall be opened at seven o'clock in the forenoon and close at four o'clock rn the afternoon of theday of election, and shall be kept open during these hours without intermission or adjournment. At the close of the election the managers and clerks will immediately proceed publicly to open the ballot oox and count the ballots therein without adjournment or intermission. Within three days thereafter the chairman of the board of managers, or one of them, to be designated in writing by the board, shall deliver to the commissioners of election the poll list, the boxescontaining the ballots, and a writ ten statement of the result of the election at his precinct. , The managers shall administer to each person offering to vote, an oath that he is qualified to vote at said election, according to the (constitution of the State, and thSt he has not already voted in said election.
