We are In receiptor an Invitation to a re- T union of the former pupils at the Honea Path High school on Friday afternoon, May 2Gth. 1893, at4 o'clock. The program will constat of an esBay by Miss Kittle Thomas, of Warrenton, S.C.. and an address by Rev. W. H.Slmp- p eon, of Brewerton, S. C. Jay is having his bouse painted which adds very much to Its appearance. In traveling through the country last week we beard a good deal of complaint about cut worm* destroying cotton. In some places cotton Is being planted over. Since tbe recent rain the small grain is looking much better, but nothing like a full crop will be made. A cyclone passed two miles from this place last Tuesday, wblcb did much damage to timbers and onthouses on Mr. J. R. Cressweil and Mr. T. M. Jay's places, but no serious damage \ as we have heard oL Miss Fannie Jay, second daughter of Mr. J. S. Jay, was very sick 011 yesterday, but Is much better to-day. Dr. H. W. The day was pleasantly and we hope profitably spent. The cburcb was neatly decorated with mottoes and choice flowers, and tbe bouse did not accommodate near all the people.
