Wore Religion. At a camp meeting a minister was followed out into the woods. He was invited to dinner. He replied : "I do not want any." "What is on yo.ir mind ?" "I have found a man who has more religion than I have, I must have more religiou. I am willing that another man muy have more money, more power, more position, more popularity?more of anything else than I have ; but I cannot be content to let him have more religion. I do not want him to have any less religion than he has, but I must have more than I have. I must have as much as he has. I must, if possible have more tbau he has. I want no dinner nor anything else until I get more religion." It is needless to say that he soon got more religion, and without delaying his dinner very long. What a pity that more of U3 have not this high and holy and heavenly ambition to have as'much or more religion than auy one else we know ! It there were more of this hunger and of this holy rivalry, what a sudden and startling increase of pure aud undetiled religion would take place! How a hungry crowd of travelers pour out of a belated train to get what they can snatch and bait of a half-cold dinner ! But how many drag them* * ? TT ?... selves to uieir prayers : nuv* manj are satisfied with religious "cold vitties!"?Christian Standard. House for Rent. fl'HE FOUR LARGE ROOMS over onr store J. flltetl up for small family.
