The new hotel has been rented to Mrs. Kelly, of Florence, who will open the establishment on the first of Janta-y next. (.'apt. Gullllard will t>e superintendent and clerk. Sl This is the finest hotel in the u|>-country, and Is an ornament to our town and a beautiful monument to the public spirit and enterprise of its builders, Messrs. Meal and Cosou. One of the most delightful and satisfactory of my life wasa recent trip to Erwln's mill. I lelt Abbeville on Tuesday, the 16th instant by ttie II 4~> train. On taking the Greenville and Columbia train, at Hodges, I met Mr. MeMurtry. that good old Irish ecntleman, who is lather in law of Mr. M.
