A petition for a road from 1>avid MuLane's in Cedar Springs, by J. J. Hanks to the Tittle place on the Ridge road, wasjtiled and ordered to be advertised till next meeting. A petition to change the route of a road recently laid out and opened on the line between Abbe* ville and Anderson counties, having call-] ed forth a weighty counter petition, and ; a vigorous protest from the Commission- ! era for Araeason county, was rejected, j The petition for a road from the Ward to the Trail road in tho Level Land section ! was ordered to be advertised till next meeting. He ts enthusiastic in his praise* ot the meeting and the speeches, and reports the crops as promising in that neighborhood. Thk Abbeville Rifles at a meeting last night accepted the invitation to the Rome encampment, and will go to work at once drilling for the occasion. Dr. H. D.
