An.her dwelling was lifted from its founf .at ion and carricd into the Small Hatchie River. The loss fo property at Pocahontas reaches $20,000. At luka a number of houses were demolished and one church destroyed. A large store and warehouse opposite Helena, owned by Governor Alcorn, valued at $25,000, was utterly demolished.
