WHEREAS, information has been received by this department that an atrocious murder was committed in the district of York, 011 the 14th inst. on the body of Wm. Nance, by a negro man slave, named Jack, the property of George M'AUiley, and thatthe said negro Jack has fled from justice, NOW KNOW \ E, to the intent thatthe said Jack may he brought to trial for the said crime; I do here by offer a reward of two hundred dollars for the ap prehension of said Jack and lodging him in any jail of i this Siate. Jack is about 45 years old, 5 feet 9 or 10 I inches, weighs a!>out 150 or 160 pounds complexion j yellow black, loves a iram, talks much, and brags i greatly of his knowledge of Farriery and Wagoning, i of which it is said that he has been driver in almost j every State south and west of New York. IRON MANUFACTURING COMPANY. AT a meeting of the Directors of this Company, held at the Cherokee Iron Works, 12th Sep tember, 1836, the following Resolutions were passed, of which all concerned will please take notice. "Whereas, the second, third, and fourth instal ments on the Stock in the South Carolina Iron Man ufacturing Company become due as follows, viz: 25 percent, on the first of January next. 25 per cent, on the 1st of January 1838? and 25 per cent, on the first of January 1839. Be it therefore Resolved, That a failure to meet the above payments at the time required, or'within thirty days thereafter, with interest, (from the rime for payment until paid) will be considered a forfeiture of the amount already paid in, to the use of this Company.
