Moore, is a dental student at Meharry Medica] Col lege. Nashville. Tenn, and is in the graduating class this > ear. DEATH CLAIMS THOS. HASKEW Dear Editor:- Mr Thomas Haskew of Bennetts ville S. C., father of Mr. C. M. Haskew, a successful business man al Che raw, passed away on the 7th of this month. Mr. Haskew was a prominent citizen in Marlboro County who stood always for the advance ment of his people and fostered every plan to that end. In the loss of Mr. Haskew Marlboro County has lost a good citizen and the race one of its strong advocates for peace, harmony and advancement. REV. R. CARROLL NOT WELL. While he is not confined to his bed Rev. Richard Carroll is sick man.
