The losers being pretty well satisfied of the election of General Gihbs, the cake was, baked by William Barstow, of this town, and was exhibited at the junc tion of Pnwtuxet and High streets, opposite the store, of James Snow, jr. on Saturday evening, the 2lst instant : its appearance was ek'gant, being handsomely figured, ami dres sed with box : it was then cut into j>ieces, and when about to he eaten, it was agreed by all the^yankee host Twhich attended, that there was no party nou\ as to eating the gingec bread, and each one, with a slice under bis arm, exclaimed, " better t gingerbread was never eaten." * Providence Pat . ^ >.
