D., 6, Nov. I 22.?The farmers in this section I have taken advantage of the beautiI' ful weather and are nearly done I gathering. More grain is being I planted than was ever known in this I section, in fact this has never been I a grain section except on a limited I scale. Some wheat is already comI ing up, while some are yet sowing. ^ I A public meeting was held |||1^ yesterday morning at Midway * school house at 10 o'clock under the auspices of Clemson college and the U. S. department of agriculture. AdI dresses were delivered by representatives of the above, and were of real benefit to the farmers. The fall session of the Midway school opened Monday morning for five months, two months having been run during the summer. This a 1 <lij three-teacher, seven months school. Prof. C.
