We will gladly welcome all who will attend the First Methodist S. S. Sunday morning, Nov. 4th, it being go-to-Sunday School Sunday. Mr. S. J. Funderburk has pur chased the vacant lot on Main street Just north ot the court house. This transaction was made this week through the real estate agency of T. M. Hughes. Mr. Hughes says there is considerable activity at present in real estate. Mr. B. A. Hilton died at his home in Kershaw Friday from the effects of a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Hilton was 70 years old and is survived by his wife and two sons. He was * half-brother of Mr. T. L. Hilton of this city, who attended the funeral in Kershaw Saturday. ?o? There will be no annual meeting of South Carolina Baptist W. M. U. this year, but the executive board of aame will meet at Laurens on the 13th and 14th of November. Only superintendents, associate su perlntendents, Y. VV. A., Sunbeam, R. A. and Mission Study Chairmen, or their substitutes, are eligible. Reports coming to local campaign headquarters of the food enrollment organization indicate that Lancaster county is doing her bit, as usual, to help win the war. Practically all the solicitors state that they, have met with no refusals to sign the pledge cards, and that all seem anxious to co-operate with the government by pledging themselves to conserve as much food as possible.
