" 2 AN ORDINANCE. To Raise Supplies For The Fiscal Year Commencing January 1st, 1916. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of the Town of Lancaster. South Carolina, in Council assembled, and by the authoriy of tho same, that the following taxes be, and the same are hereby levied, to provide for supplies and for the necessary expenses of the said Town of Lancaster. Section 1. C.. due and payable between the 1st and 31st of December, 1016, at the office of the Town Treasurer of said town; and that all taxes due and remaining unpaid on the 1st day of January 1017, shall be subject to a penalty of fifteen per cent, for non-payment of taxes when due; and the Town Treasurer, after default in the payment of such taxes, shall issue execution to any policeman of the town, or to the Sheriff of the said County of Lancaster for the delinquent taxes, costs and penalties, following the mode of collection of delinquent taxes as now provided by the State for collection of taxes, penalties and costs; and that an additional tax on all real and personal property within the corporate limits of said town, be and the same is hereby levied for the purpose ui provmiDK n sinning iuna for the retirement of the bonds of said town, as follows: one and threequarter (1 3-4) mills for water works and water works improvement bonds: one and three-quarter (1 3-4) mills for Sewerage bonds, and three-quarter (3-4) mills for street improvement bonds, said tax to be due and payable at the same time and payment enforced in the same manner as provided for the ten mill levy for general purposes as above mentioned. Sec. 2.
