Mc Manus, formerly of the l'?snhiw section, will regret to hear o' her death, which occurred a fewdays ago at the McManus home in Shan Ion, a Colombia suburb, the particulars of which are given iu Sunday's State as ' follows: On June 23 at S o'clock p. m. Mrs. Laura Belk McManus, wife of Mr. McA McManus, died at her home, llOO Butler avenue, Shandou. She had been in feeble health for years and confined to her ued since August, 1907. During that time she suffered : untold agony, but boie it all pa tientlv, exemplifying her pure Christian character. Besides her husband, Mr. McA McManus, *be leaves live children, Mrs J V. A devoted wife, affectionate mo her and kind neighbor, she will be greatly missed. Her remains were interred in Elmwood cemetery Wednesday alternoon. Woman Convicted of Set liny Liquor. Susie Wilson, a young colored . woman, was convicted before Mayor Hughes Saturday afternoon of the charge of celling I whiskey. A fine of $50 was imposed, which wa9 paid. The case was cleverly worked up against the woman by Chiet McManus and Policeman Bell.
