Kditor Hamel, of the Kershaw Era, with commendable zeal, continues to hammer away at the county fair proposition. The more this question is thought about the more we see the im porlance of it as there is nothing that would be of more benefit to Greenwood than the organiz uion of a County Fair Association. It will bring tlie farmer and tlio business man into closer contact and thereby be of great benefit to both parties concerned. It would al?o cause a friendly! rivalry among the farmers in re-, gard to tlie exhibits which would | be shown at the Fair, thereby serving as an incentive to the agriculturist which would lead to better methods ot farming ar:d raising stock. Let the farmers of Greenwood County think seriously about this question as it is ol vital importance to their farming interests that they should raeettf. gether each year and form new ideas in retard t agricultural pursuits. We feel satisfied that the business men of this city, will lend a helping hand to the movement it their attention is only-called to the matter. So get to work and let us have a Conn tv Fair.
