l> Peculiar Case?Man Charg-1 ed with Killing Animals j and Poisoning a Whole Family. Pittsburg. Sept. 22.?A mvs terious poicumr, probably sfilleted with a mania tor taking lite, is causing terror among families iu the neighborhood of Crersi Alley, Allegheny. Having been successful in causing the death of a number of horses au'l dogs, the poisoner is believed to have attempted yesterday to kill a whole family. The victims are: Mr9. Maggie Hoffman, 44 years old, Fred Hoffman, 22 years old, Charles Hoffman, 7 years old, Esther Hoffman, 5 years old, and Evelyn Tuscher, 5 years old, the child ot a neighbor. The family had eaten for dinner eonp that had been kept in an outside refrigerator ovor night. Immediately alter the meal the entire tarn ily was taken so seriously ill that physicians were called. They pronout ced it arsenical poison ing. All will recover. Marriage Causes Remarkable Kinship Complications Morganton, N. 0., special in Charlotte Ob-terver: Mr. Richard Williams, United Slates commissioner, prominent citizen and lnrire landowner, was married here last night to Miss Salliel Hallylurton, daughter of Mr. W. F. LI ally burton, a well to-do Burke county farmer. Rev W. O. Goode performed the ceremony. This is Mr. Williams' third venture on ttie sea ot matrimony, and this last marriage causes such a lot of kinship complications that it is hard to determine who is related. Mr. Williams has been living with his daughter-inlaw, Mrs. EUa Williams, who is a sister of Mr. W. F. Uallvburton, father of the young lady he has just, married. In addition to being his daughter in law, Mrs Ella Williams is now Richard's aunt and Ler former niece, Miss Sallie Hallyburton, is now her mother-in-law. Miss Ada Wil liams, a young daughter ot Mrs. Ella Williams, is now first cousin to her grandmother and her grandfather is also her first cousin. Mr. W.
