Little Rock, Ark.?The convention ol the Farmers' Un:ou this morning unanimously adopted the report ot the committee, especially appointed lor that purpose, to fix the of otton a 15 cents per pound. The warehouse committee recommended the building of ware houses all over tlie South tor the purpose of holdiug the staple for the price and also, to seL direct to the spinners. Lirect tnde relations with the manufacturers is assured. The minimum price for wheat was fixed at $1 per bushel ; corn 50 cents; oats 35 cents. These rates apply to the grain belt. The convention condemned the method* of a Texas warehouse company which are operating in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. This company is an independent concern. The price of Sea Island cot ton was fixed at 44, 48 and 50 ccnt9 per pound. Charles S. Barrett, of Georgia, was elected national presiden'. Mr. McCulloch. of Arkansas. was elected secretary. Miller, of Texas; Morris, of Alabama; Wilson, of Mississippi, and Jefferds, ot Oklahoma, were elect ed educative committeemen The report of the state busi ness agents shows that the cottoil crop is tar below the average, and much short of last year. In Georgia the crop is 10 percent off Irom la?t year. In Texas, it is claimed, only 2,000,000 bale will be raided. In the middle gulf states the crop is very short. The convention adopted the plan of the state business Hgents to establish a national bureau. This bureau will be located at the national headquarters Through the medium of this bureau the producer ol the west may sell his products to the consumer of the south direct, and vice veiv a. The establishment ol the bureau is considered one of the wicest moves the union has yet made. Over Ihree hundred delegates are present and the total membership ot the union is estimated at 1,600,000.
