Hough As published in The News at the time, she was taken to a Chester hospital lor a surgi cal operation and treatment about a month ago, where she rem lined until Wednesday night, when she was brought to this place, her death occurring the next morning. as stated. She had been gradually growing worse for the past ten days or more and had expressed a desire to return homo. Mrs. Funderburk was a daughter of the late John R Welsh of this county and was born in the laxanaw section, wtiere her parents al that time resid<d- She was about 5G years ot a'te, and was married to Mr. Fuuderburk about 38 years ago. She was a lady of mi exalted type of christian character and was greatly beloved and admired by ill who enjoyed the pleasure ol her acquaintance and companionship. She succeeded in raising a large family of children an 1 was never happier than when contributing to their comlort and* welfare.? She was a kind neighbor as well as a devoted wile and mother and will be sorely missed in the homo and the community in which phe lived. She] was a devout member of the Baptist church.
