Mrs. Coburn was whipped several months ayo and 1 driven from her home near Glenn ? Springs. Ollie Ponder and Lum J West were arreste 1. charged with whipping the woman Mrs. ^ Coburu has been living in Lan- 5 caster County and North Caro s lina. She says she knew she was j wanted here, and that a reward 1 of $ 100 had been offered lor her arrest, but she was afraid tr> return and testify against West ' \ and Ponder, fearing she would j f he attacked by rriends ot theN men who whipped her.
