Children's Day At Second Baptist Church-An Interesting Programme Successfully Carried Out? The Good \York Being Done by the Pastor. Mr. Editor: I am spending I ( sometime with the llev. T. A. Ilis pastoral and pul j pit work are both being blessed; bv the Lotd. to whom he gives I the praise and ascribes all honor andiilory. He is forceful, pleasing and eloquent as a minister, drawing and holding the attention o' his audience. He baptized eleven converts to-day and nine more loinod the church this evening. The church whs beautifully decorated with (1 >w ers and evergreens, les'oons, bunches of holly, lilies, roses, pinks and geraniums infusing a sweet aroma, salubrious and bracing. ''Children's Day" was printed in large letters at the North end o( the church and Welcome to All" at the Smith end. Mr. J. T. Davis, the Superintendent, tilled his position with proficiency and ability, assisting the choir, delivering a tine address and introducing the speakers and actors, lie gives the credit of this fine exhibition to three pretty and accomplished young ladies, Mi*s Ethel Dabney.
