The Revival Meetings. The Seventh "Week Begins with Interest UnabatedNames being Daily Entered on the Converts' Register of the Christian Crusa- j ders. Reported for The News. At tho expiration of six weeks and two days, during which time God's S| iiit has been most won-: derliilly poured out upon the people of Lancaster and the surrounding country, it is very evi dent to all who will be convin , ced, that the interest in the special revival effort, which is now in progrsss, has not yet abated. This fact has bet n plainly demonstrated during the past week, when, notwithing the inclemency of the weather, the iruui i?i nuu near, j in such large numbers, iliat the ] Gospel Tabernacle of the Christ- ( ian Crusadere has been well filled every night. This trul.v j means something. And what? ; That God is moving. Who can i doubt this^'fact? Who will doubt < it? \ The soul-record, up to this i time, is of a very encouraging j nature and shows that 127 have I sought the Lord in the pardoning i of their sins. The names of 113 1 of this number have been enroll- 1 ed upon the Converts' Register, I as those who have professed to have experienced the "New Birth," and God grant that the name of ever}- one has also been recorded in tlie Lamb's Book of Life, and that they may so walk before Him, individually, that He may preserve I hem unto His Heavenly kingdom. Many bright evidences of conversion are seen in the lives of the^e n e w born souls. One instance of recent d a t e, is worthy of not. On oneoccassion the mother and father in a certain family were both unavoid- i ably kept from homo at the usual hour for family worship. Their young son of 12 years, who has i recently lound Christ, said to his brothers and sisters: "Mama ami Papa are away and who will 1 conduct family prayers?" His own answer quickly came. "Oh, I can, I can," and, true to his word, the brave little soldi* r did so. On the dav following the conversion of another bright boy,, he destroyed some trap*, which lie had made ai d set for the pur pose of catching poor, litile, in. uocent birds. It these young boys j and others, who have recently given their he arts to Christ, are tenderly nourished they will, doubtless, develop into strong! robust, and useful Christian j charade, s. One of the principal features ofthe meetings during the past week.has been the testiinonial sor , vice, which h is been conducted ?;?i,ti i.. ,i... 1 ? Who can doubt the reality of a hoart felt expe rience when such expressions, i the following come Irom ll hearts ot those who have lour Jesus as a satisfying portion? k still have perfect peace anil ha piness in Jesus This supernntu at grace and power is a rich ban account from which we can mal drafts at any time, and they wi always be honored." "I am glad to be able to sa that 1 know the devil has foun in me a formidable enemy, on thai is very hard to manage, seems sometimes, us though li has left me entirely, but this not so, for well do I know tin ho will return, and with redoul ied energy, try to break (low my faith, lie shall not do so, f< by my determination and tli power the Lord has given me, um prepared to buttle again: him. 1 am more determined tha ever before to stay thus prepare! If I could tell you of that Go <iiven peace of mind and heart am now enjoying, I would wil ingly do so, but I cannot, an you will have to go through tli selfsame experiences that I hav< in order to find out." The meetings of Sunday wer rery largely attended.
