The inspection oth ers were Maj L. W. Haskell, Asst. Adjt Gen. for the State and Col. E. B. Fuller of the U S. A The company is composed of farmers entirely; | but notwithstanding the lact t that this is a very busy season on 1 the farms, our bovs responded to { call of their cap'ain so well that 1 the Inspector remarked to Capt : Richards that he had out a larger per cent age of his men than most companies already inspec ted,-which means most companies in the state. Our boys also ^ did excellent work both in the t field movements and manuel, so v that it was said by those capable 41 >f judging that the company f passed the best inspection in its 5 listory. The guns and other Gov- h irnmeot property were found in 1 a'isfactory condition. At the n lo3e ol the inspection Mnj. lias- 11 ell made a short speech in which ^ e commended 44the boys" for leir interest in millitary a flairs, jmplimented them for their j, iod drilling and fine physical g 3 pear a nee, and congratulated t tern on having so able and ex- e irienced a commander as Capt. i ichards. Gol. Fuller spoke ol a e importance of target practice " id urged the company to try to ? nd a mm to compete in the 1 le practice at Sea Girt next mmer. f The company has been organ>d 12 years, has taken part in ze drills, been to tho encampi j' nfs, to the Charleston Expoon, to the manoeuvres at Manas and lias been long recogni- \ I a^< one of the crack compan e of the sfa'e.
