Springs, of Lancaster, is president, and before the flamos could be checke I 1359 bales of cotton were destroyed. The fire is practically a total loss, there being little or 110 salvage. The loss however, which amounts to between $75,000 and $100,000., is fully covered by insurance. Cotton Ginned to Jan. 1st. Government Report Yesterday Made Price Bound Upward. The ginners' report of cotton ginned up to January 1st was mado public by the government yesterday afternoon, the figures being 9,721,000 bales. The report was considered bullish and the future market accordingly jumped up 20 points. The constitutionality of the Brice law was argued before the Supreme Court i 11 Columbia Monday.
