The Sulzer weaving machines will be linked to a series of monitors to provide machine and operator performance data to management. The MJS frame have production and quality monitors. If a defect is detected in the yarn, the end is automatically cut and the knotter ties the ends together and re-starts the spindle. If a particular spindle is having recur ring problems the spindle will stop and a flashing light on a panel will indicate a pro blem exists. The machine and operator’s ef ficiency are recorded in a central computer system located in the plant manager's office. A MJS technician is shown assembling the on board computer system.
