"I've been interested in CB radios a little over two years," stated McAlister as he answered a call on his radio. Citizen band radio clubs are growing in popularity across the country. "The radio comes in handy when you're traveling and an emergency arises," stated McAlister. "There are I many people in the area who own CB radios, and you can I pretty well count on your friends to answer a call for assistance if it's an emergency. "I've really enjoyed the "radio," he continued. He can communicate with fellow radio broadcasters as far away as Greenwood, Ware Shoals, Roebuck, Whitmire, and surrounding areas.
