many people are especially

dish of pickled beans. Two
easy recipes are ipven here
for the ol?! fashioned pickled
beans and a new recipe
which is proving to be a
p o p u 1 a r addit ion to the
"pickle" family.

rinse, heal. pack in hot jars
and seal.

ICKLED BEANS
jars. Prepare three lbs. of
beans hi/ snipping off ends.
Have ready two clones garlic,
two cups water, one enj)
vinegar, one head of dill or
one teaspoon dill seed, four
tablespoons salt and one
teaspoon cayenne pepper.

out into cold tauter. Puck
upright in pint jura, place a
small amount of dill and
garlic in each jar. Ilcat vinegar,
water, sugar, salt and
ingenue to boiling point.
Pour over beans and seal.
Chill in refrigerator before
serving as a pickle dish.

suit taste. The recipe is for
six pints.

used for pickling okru with
the exception of packing
the tender pods of okru
with tips into hot jars and
