Want to make sure that
twinge of pain you have turns
into a stiff and useless knee,
hip. or wrist? Stay away
from the doctor and baby it!
The old idea that a rheumatic
or arthritic patient
should favor h i s painful
joints is one more example
of the kind of little knowledge
that is a dangerous
thing. Actually, going easy on
a joint may increase its stiffness
rather t h a n making it
better. Your doctor can tell
you which is best in your
case.
People over fifty (or even
younger) often have one or
two painful or stiff joints.
This happens when the oiling
fluid between the joints
disappears and t h e padding
wears away. It is called
osteoarthritis, one of the two
main forms of arthritis.

everyone of us, have a chance.
We can get ahead or lag behind.
We are individuals and
that's just as it should be.
Chances are, 9 out of 10 of
everyone you meet are capitalists.
A capitalist is any person
who saves some of his
earnings and uses or lets others
use them to directly or
indirectly build enterprises
which can provide jobs and
products for our use.
The American way of life
has proven that capitalism in
our use means freedom for
all.

LOOK AHEAD
Today research alone is one
of the largest industries in
America. We have been a curious
nation of people. We
want to know all the answers
? why, where, how, and
when? Well, it is paying off
in a research program that
not only helps industries but
our country as well.
We must never lose confidence
in this great country
of ours. Of course, we make
mistakes, we have learned by
them, and out of the cloud
comes a silver lining of knowhow
and ability.
Look ahead to the future.
Our growth and success didn't
come by just falling down
and quitting. Go on so that
we can find new heights in a
growing America!

As we start our children to
school in the first grade we
are trusting their future in
education to our school systems.
The depth of this education
depends on just how
important we as citizens believe
in it. not that you and I
as parents are supposed to
just leave all of it up to the
schools and their teachers.
We can check regularly with
the teachers of our children
and find out what subjects
are weak and need additional
emphasis. Sometimes you run
across a parent who has never
even met the teachers of their
children. Surely the parent
has some obligation in not
only seeing that his child attends
school but does the required
work at home.
Our school system can be
judged by the type of people
who operate them. Too. the
necessary expense of this important
training in the life of
our children must be paid
for. It doesn't just "drop out
of the sky".
May we never lose sight of
the importance of a good
school svstem with the best
education possible for those
who will be our future.
