study of automatic sprinkler
systems and fire doors.

Maintenance and operation of
the systems were stressed by
Taylor following the showing
of "Crusaders Against Fire",
a color film on the operation
of sprinkler systems. Each

during the past year.
Clinton and Lvdia, winners of
awards in previous years, did
not qualify this year.
The Conference's programs
of primary interest and value
to textile plant personnel is
sponsored each year by the
South C a r o 1 i n a Industrial
Commission. More than 1.000
people registered f o r the
meetings.

$50 to $1,200 according to Paymasters
Claude Trammell and
David Word. Clinton employees
savings were approximately
$95,000. Lydia employees
saved approximately
$60,000.
According to President
Vance's bulletin board notice
of November 3rd the checks
will be given out by the Overseers
with the regular payroll
checks November 24.
Beginning week ending November
18. all collections for
the 1962 Club will be continued
as now authorized unless
the payroll department is
otherwise notified. Anyone
may start, stop or change an
account at anv time during
the year bv giving notice to
the payroll department.
The savings plan is for the
convenience of employees and
entirely voluntary.

A Success
Fun, food, fellowship and
hard work were the ingredients
for one of the most successful
carnivals at Lvdia. Hot
Dogs with the trimmings,
french fried potatoes, cold
drinks, Fishing, Fortune Telling,
House of Horror, Cartoon
Movies, Cake Walk, Country
Store and the Bakery were
enjoyed by the young and old

December 2. Kinard is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Littleton
of Clinton. He was voted
the best high school football
player in the Palmetto State
