Mrs. Brissey is the granddaughter of Mrs. J. J. Smith. Mrs. Dot Brashier. sister of Junior Kirbv. is a patient at General Hospital in Greenville where she underwent surgerv recently. He celebrated h.s 5th birthday October 20. " Sjjpr '?i '^| Sorry to report Mr. Lanham Lawson, father of Homer Lawson. had to have one of his fingers removed recently due to an infection. Mrs. Robert Butler has our deepest sympathy in the death of her mother, Mrs. Lula Gruber, who passed away recently. Mr. and Mrs. Garrison Childress, Mrs. Ester Fuller, Mrs. Susie Hawks and I enjoyed a trip to Smokey Mountains a few Sundays ago. The mountains were beautiful. Robert Butler was 27 years old the 13th of November. Rickey Kirby will be 3 years old the 3rd of December. Vic and Helen and Cindy Mattox motored through the mountains recently and enjoyed the many beautiful colors of the trees and flowers. Mrs. Inez. Ruby and Harry Lee Thomas enjoved a sight seeing tour through mountains the first part of November. Bobby Simmons has been to Clemson and to Duke this month to see the Clemson football team play. Bobby is a member of the Joanna Football Club. This club goes to see four games a year. Mitchell and other points of interest in the4 Mountains of N. C. Mell said the snow and ice was just beautiful.
