Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neal, Mrs. Jeff Sumcrals and children visited in the mountains recently. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Neal visited Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barker in Salem recently. Mrs. Sid Riser, daughter-inlaw of the Leo Risers, has returned home from a stay in the Greenville General Hospital. Mrs. Riser lives in Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Terry and familv visited Mrs. D. S. Jackson in Columbia recently. Kenneth Madden celebrated his birthday Sept. 29. WEAVING NO. 2 2nd Shift By Leila Black Mr. and Mrs. George Jackson of Greenville visited Mr. and Mrs. Rav Patterson over the weekend. Henry. Grand and Vandy Fallow, Joe Spillers and "Pat" Lanford went to Asheville Weaver Races in North Carolina. Helen Fallow spent several days in Newberry with her cousin. Susan Fallow. Handy Sanders. Joe McCall and Tommy Lanford motored to the mountains over the weekend. Harriet, B a r b a r a a n d "Butch" Black spent the Labor Day holidays at Lake Greenwood with Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Williams. Mrs. Mary Taylor spent the weekend in Johnson City, Tennessee, with friends. Harriet Black spent a week in Greenville with Mr. and Mrs. Wvatt Dacus. Happy birthday to: Judv Smith?Sept. 4th. Spillers Rav Wilson, son of Buck and Mildred Wilson, was operated on for a bad fractured arm at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood the first of September. Shirley Stroud and daugh ler, terry, and Alvin Motes went sightseeing through the mountains Labor Day. Evelyn and George Thompson have just completed painting their house on the outside. Birthdays and Anniversaries Henry Fallow celebrated his 21st birthday August 16. Roy Lawson celebrated a birthday Sept. 6 (his 29th he said). Mr. and Mrs. Rov Lawson celebrated a wedding anniversary Sept. 16th. their 20th. He is stationed at Treasure Island, California. THE CLOTHMAKER a safety program. Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Thornton. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Terry and Mr. and Mrs. Hufus King visited Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis in Bee Log. N. C. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Galloway and granddaughter, Susie, and Mr. and Mrs. John Franklin and daughter, Tammy, visited Captain and Mrs. Charles Galloway in Augusta, Ga. Cecil Wooten, Earl and J. E. Braswell and Joe Davenport spent a recent weekend at the Braswell cabin on Lake Greenwood, enjoying a turtle stew on Saturday night (or was it the turtle that got stewed, boys). A-3 James Barker, son of the Kudolph Barkers, spent a recent leave at home. Jimmv, as he is known, is stationed at Minok, North Dakota. Charles Huev along with several friends attended the Southern 500 races in Darlington Labor Day. Mrs. Mell Huey, Mrs. Inabelle Hooper spent a recent Sunday window shopping in Greenville. Mell said she saw a beautiful suit. A picture of ihe beautiful Miss Sandra Browning, Miss South Carolina. had modeled it. Mell said if it made her look like that she'd go buy it. Mr. J. B. Cannon is a na 1 tient at General Hospital in Greenville. Roy says he is doinn fine. Mr. and Mrs. James Harris were called to Sanford, Florida. due to the illness of his brother. Jonas Harris. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Harris and Mr. Rov Harris. Mrs. Young is employed at Clinton Mills. Lorraine Uunaway, daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dunaway and granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Joye, Clinton Mills, celebrated her 9th birthday August 27.
